Every Legionnaire must know by heart the "Legionnaire's Code of Honour". The Legionnaires spend many hours learning it.

1. As a Legionnaire, you are a volunteer and will always serve with "Honour and Fidelity".

2. Every legionnaire is your brother-in-arms, regardless of his nationality. You will demonstrate this by strict solidarity which must always unite members of the same family.

3. Every Legionnaire will always respect the traditions of rugby football in whatever shape or form they take.

4. As a Legionnaire, personal discipline and comradeship are your strengths, courage and loyalty are your virtues.

5. As an ‘elite’ athlete, you will train rigorously. You will maintain your body as your most precious possession and be constantly concerned with your physical form.

6. A rugby match is always to be considered sacred and you will carry it out until the end. You will never respect the laws of the game but always honour its customs and abide by its conventions.

7. During a match, you will act with passion but without hate. You will respect the vanquished opposition and you will never abandon your injured or weary. You will never surrender.
